It truly was another classic Canandaigua-Penn Yan contest under the Mustang lights and with a large crowd on hand. After trading goals resulting in a 5-5 tie at halftime, Penn Yan took a 9-7 lead, but let the Braves back in as they scored three in the last quarter to force overtime.

Penn Yan junior goalie Brandon Maciejewski recently announced his commitment to attend and play lacrosse at SUNY Stony Brook after his graduation in 2014. One of the most dramatic goalies in Section Five, "Mace" has played on the Mustang Varsity since 8th grade and has been a starter since his freshman year. Having logged more than 2,100 minutes in the goal, the junior has recorded 406 saves (63%). Last year he was named to the D&C Rochester Super 16, was a first team All Section Five player, the Class C Section Five Tournament MVP and a member of the All-Tournament team.
